Prabhu talks about how a Senate bill to ban the buying of puppies has failed to pass due to locals not being able to have control.
Prabhu uses pathos by using tha animal rights activist urging people to adopt puppies instead of buying them due to the fact that they might come from a puppy mill. She further backs this claim and provides a quote from Atlanta senator Nan Orrock, “The efforts that are being made by local city officials to protect their citizens and shut down bad apples in the essence of local control (Paragraph 4).” When reading the article she uses low diction which makes the article easy for anyone to understand and read. The purpose of this article was to inform all dog enthusiasts to be cautious when buying puppies and suggest to them or others to adopt instead. Through this article Prabhu has a very formal tone when talking about how the bill failed and how there are dangers in the dog world. Atlanta Journal Constitution Article by Maya T.
