Bluestein talks about how a former U.S representative, John Barrow, is gathering support from both democrats and republicans for his spot as secretary of state.
Bluestein uses logos by stating how much money Barrow has accumulated more money than the people he is running up against. “Financial disclosures show Barrow has raised about $340,00, while his adversaries amassed less than $5,000 apiece (Paragraph 4).” To add to the appeal of logos Bluestein also list the names of republicans that have crossed party lines to support Barrow. Through the article there is mainly low diction but there are some words that some would have to look up in order to know what it means. The author's purpose in this article is to cover the story on the former 12th district representative and how he was running for Georgia’s secretary of state and how he was able to garner a large amount of support from his political past.
